Friends of Ecole Agape members enjoy Rikke Wassenberg’s hospitality, whose backyard gives members a peaceful place to discuss the agenda and make fundraising plans. Members who have been dedicated volunteers for many years welcome their newest members while sharing ideas for continuing support of the school, students, and teachers.
What’s New In Haiti
Haiti news includes plans by the Manigat family to convert Myrtha’s house by expanding it to include the Ecole Agape classrooms as well as the preschool that meets inside the house. Ecole Agape is currently held after regular school hours for 3 hours in a nearby building called La Providence.
Consolidating the school gives both the teachers and students an enhanced sense of community and better access to joint resources and school programs.
Both Chantel Coutard and Marie Michele Darbouze, nieces of Myrtha’s who are administrators for Ecole Agape, are eager to meet with the members, so look for updates on this upcoming event. Teacher Training by Liz and Paul Wicks as part of their literacy ministry, “The Reading Room,” is scheduled in Haiti for sometime either this autumn or the beginning of 2017.
Sponsors are the bedrock for the school’s funding, and finding new sponsors is our biggest priority. Please contact us to discover how little it takes to be a sponsor and send one girl to school for a year.

This group is really coming together and in such a joyful way. New friends/members have been a blessing. They bring new and different energies to the group. I am already looking forward to our next meeting 08 July at 7:00 PM. If any one would like to join. Leave a comment or reply to my comment and I will give you directions.
