What happens when pigs fly? Impossible things come true!
What we take for granted as an equal opportunity is impossible for children in Haiti. The cost of public education in Haiti is unaffordable for many families. With your help, over 200 young girls receive a life-changing education at Ecole Agape, the only free school for girls in Haiti.
This is an important fundraiser for Ecole Agape in Lilavois, Haiti. Your generous contribution as admission helps us to support the only free girls’ school in Haiti.
For the fourth year in a row, we’ve set the stage for six hours of live musical entertainment and put out a wide array of food to tickle the taste buds. There will be pork roasted to perfection by our expert pitmasters, delicious side dishes, including vegan, gluten-free, and desserts.
Bring your lawn chair or blanket and adult beverages and enjoy the music lineup:
- Curt Brand and the On-Call Band
- Seldom Heard
- Hugh Blumenfeld
- The seven-member Karen Lussier Band
100% of the proceeds go to teacher salaries, books, supplies, and a nutritious meal each school day. For many girls, this is the only meal they eat. Over 65% of our students are restaveks, a form of generational slavery in Haiti where families send their children to live in another household as domestic servants. Thank you for helping to make a difference in the lives of these young girls!
